Holy god. "Silence is the Question" by The Bad Plus. Cresendo of the year. I spend too much time trying to find the perfect song for every emotion I'm having at every second, so it's nice that this so easily sums up the cresendo of the last few weeks right there.

Maybe the cresendo tweetered out last night. I had at once the cheesiest and most comforting thought when I realized that the leaf I was holding that I'd plucked off a bush that morning and kept in my pocket all day, that very leaf, when held close enough to my face could keep me from seeing the moon. The moon is huge, right? This leaf is tiny. It doesn't really matter how big or small something really is, it's only how close it is to you. A leaf can keep you from seeing the moon. Small things can keep you from seeing big things when they are close to you. Nevermind, I am running this point into the ground. Let's just say I have been holding a leaf up to the moon. Or at least I hope I have.
